The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday that forward Jonathan Drouin is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.
Drouin sat out Montreal's game on Thursday against the Florida Panthers before being placed on injured reserve Friday.

He’s still home for precautionary reasons after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Drouin is also away from the team due to COVID-19 protocols, as he was recently in close contact with someone who tested positive.
Drouin has missed 29 games total this season due to injury. He previously missed 22 games suffering from another upper-body injury in January. Earlier this season, he missed six games with a head injury.
In 34 games this season, Drouin has 20 points on six goals and 14 assists.
