AC Milan’s search for a new coach is rumbling on with a variety of names continuing to be linked with the post, and the end of the season is fast approaching.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the likes of Mark van Bommel, Sergio Conceicao, Paulo Fonseca and Christoph Galtier are all credible names that Milan are considering as Stefano Pioli’s successor.

What is also suggested by the report is that Antonio Conte is not one of the frontrunners and it would take a change in situation for him to move ahead of some other names.

Milan want a coach who is used to using a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation as that is what best suits the crop of players currently at the club.

Van Bommel is currently in charge of Antwerp but he will be leaving the Belgian side at the end of the season. His understanding of the game has attracted Milan, but other clubs are showing interest in the Dutchman.

Portuguese duo Conceicao and Fonseca have been in the running for many weeks and both have very uncertain futures, whilst Galtier is a newer name.

After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the Frenchman joined Al Duhail in Qatar.
